The Brussels think tank Madariaga, College of Europe Foundation (www.madariaga.org ) is organizing a conference on 17 November, in partnership with momagri on the strategies for agriculture and food of the world’s major political powers:
« Food Security and Agriculture Strategies: what room for multilateral governance? »
The idea that "agriculture is at the heart of global geopolitics" is gradually being accepted and is impacting agricultural strategies and food security. But does the international context lend itself to the emergence of a global governance of food and agriculture designed to meet this new problem?
This conference will be held at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on the day Dacian Ciolos, the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Sustainable Development will make his speech on the issues and principles designed to guide the future reform of the CAP.
To subscribe please send your details to info@madariaga.org
